I was driving somewhere this afternoon and this leaf fell off a tree and entered through my narrowly opened window to land on the passenger seat. The unlikely chance of this happening got me thinking of Ecclesiastes 9:11 –
“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”
So, this leaf was my unlikely companion on my journey, a reminder to use my time wisely and grab a hold of the chances I am given.
